Vermont Maple Grades:
With today's high quality standards, the grade of maple syrup does not mean a difference in quality. The maple tree naturally produces a lighter colored maple syrup early in the season that gradually deepens in color and flavor strength toward the end of the season.
The State of Vermont Maple Grades are as follows:
* Vermont Fancy Grade: light golden color with a delicate, delightfully smooth flavor
* Vermont Grade A Medium Amber: wonderful maple flavor, great for all around usei
* Vermont Grade A Dark Amber: robust maple flavor and deep amber color
* Vermont Grade B: B for bold! It is the richest of the flavors, for use on the table and best for flavoring baked goods or glazing meats and vegetables.
